


ODISHA STATE COMPUTING OLYMPIAD (OSCO)

Mathematics Olympiad is an examination conducted to test the aptitude of students. It is conducted for students at different levels; wherein their aptitude in mathematics is tested. The examination is based on logical problems and real life situations. Odisha State Computing Olympiad (OSCO) is conducted by “Computer Society of India” in association with Trident Academy of Technology, Bhubaneswar for 11 th / 12 th class students in the month of November/ December every year in India.
Participating in Odisha State Computing Olympiad (OSCO) is a great opportunity for students to test their skills, compete with their peers and gain recognition for their hard work. It will also inspire them to pursue further studies in the field of mathematics and in the growth of analytical thinking ability.
The Aims of OSCO are-
- To discover, encourage and challenge mathematically gifted young people in India.
- To foster friendly relationship among mathematicians in India.
- To create an opportunity for the exchange of information on school syllabus and practices.

All participants will get a participation certificate.
- Students of 11 th / 12 th class (+2 Science/ +2 Arts/ +2 Commerce) having mathematics as one of a core subject in their syllabus.
- There are no specific eligibility criteria such as minimum mark or academic percentage.
ROUND 1 TEST: MODE- ONLINE, DATE: 15th Jan 2025 to 15th Feb 2025.
ROUND 2 TEST: MODE- ONLINE, DATE: 16th Feb 2025 to 15th March 2025.
ROUND 3 TEST: MODE- OFFLINE, DATE: 2nd week of April 2025.
- There will be three levels of examination such as Round-1, Round-2 and Round-3, each carrying 100 Marks with duration of 1 hour each.
- All registered students can appear Round-1 examination in online mode.
- Round-1 examination carries 25 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
- Time : 30 Minutes.
- Each question carries 4 marks. Each right answer will add 4 marks while each wrong answer will deduct 1 mark.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 60% for proceeding to Round 2.
- There will be 2 attempts available for students. Best of the two will be considered for selection to Round 2.
- Successfull students at Round-1, will go for Round-2 examination which will also be conducted online.
- Round-2 examination carries 50 multiple choice question.
- Time: 1 hour
- Each question carries 2 marks each. Each right answer will add 2 marks while each wrong answer will deduct 1 mark.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 60% for proceeding to Round 3.
- There will be only 1 attempt available to students.
- Successfull students at Round-2 will go for Round-3 examination, which is the final examination. Round-3 examination caries 50 multiple choice questions carrying 2 marks each. The final examination will be conducted in Trident Academy of Technology, Bhubaneswar in offline mode.
- The result of final examination (Round-3) will be declared at the end of examination on the same day.
- Student can appear examination online using mobile, laptop or desktop for Round-1 & Round-2 examinations.
- For Round-3 examination all eligible students have to come to Trident Academy of Technology, Bhubaneswar.
- For online examination, there is no re-evaluation.
- Participants shall be terminated or disqualified for any act of indiscipline.
- Based on the result of final examination (Round-3) score students will be ranked and will be awarded cash prize, medals, scholarships and trophies.
- Students who will achieve Rank-1 will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 30,000/- with certificate.
- Similarly cash prize of Rs. 20,000/- will be awarded to Rank-2, Rs. 15,000/- will be awarded to Rank-3, Rs. 10,000/- will be awarded to Rank-4 and Rs. 5,000/- will be awarded to Rank-5.
- For tie situation when more than one candidate scores the same marks, all students will get the same reward.
- All participants in Round-3 examination will get a participant certificate of TMQ.
- Online Olympiad examination consists of MCQ based question at all levels.
- Round 1 Examination: Online Through our Portal
- 25 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
- Time : 30 Minutes.
- Each question carries 4 marks. Each right answer will add 4 marks while each wrong answer will deduct 1 mark.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 60% for proceeding to Round 2.
- There will be 2 attempts available for students. Best of the two will be considered for selection to Round 2.
- Round 2 Examination: Online Through our Portal
- 50 multiple choice question.
- Time: 1 hour
- Each question carries 2 marks each. Each right answer will add 2 marks while each wrong answer will deduct 1 mark.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 60% for proceeding to Round 3.
- There will be only 1 attempt available to students.
- Round-3 examination will be conducted offline at Trident Academy of Technology, Bhubaneswar.
